Ivanti extends the Neurons platform with independent IT and security capabilities

Information technology security software company Ivanti Inc. today announced new capabilities focused on enabling independent IT operations and organizations to secure their environment more effectively at scale.

New developments allow IT and security functions to see, decide and act independently without sacrificing trust, governance or control, something Ivanti says is necessary in a post-Claude Mythos and GPT-5.4-Cyber world.

As artificial intelligence capabilities and the threat landscape change rapidly, IT and security teams are under constant pressure to ensure employees are protected and productive. Ivanti argues that this equates to too many endings, too much complexity and too high expectations.

As AI redefines how IT and security work, Ivanti helps its customers move from a reactive, manual approach to an autonomous operating model, where endpoints can be continuously discovered, protected, patched and supported with minimal human intervention.

New capabilities include independent patch compliance, Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management sees the introduction of Continuous Compliance.

Continuous Compliance is a new automated enforcement framework that bridges the gap between scheduled patch deployments and regulatory requirements. Using the capability, customers can automatically identify out-of-compliance endpoints and issue out-of-band patches to update devices that have missed scheduled maintenance windows. As a result, they eliminate manual interventions and ensure that organizations consistently meet compliance goals

A second new capability, Agentic AI for ITSM, sees Ivanti Neurons AI’s self-service agent act as a digital partner that resolves common incidents and requests end-to-end, deviant tickets with built-in monitoring tools for policy, authorization and data integrity.

“Organizations need systems that not only recognize problems but have the ability to decide and act safely and at scale,” said Chief Executive Officer Dennis Kozak. “These new capabilities reinforce our commitment to being the system of record for IT and security teams, where the Ivanti Neurons platform brings together reliable data, intelligent automation and managed solutions to deliver real results for IT and security teams.”

Updates are supported by an intelligence layer from the Ivanti Neurons platform, which combines a unified AI framework with platform data to provide data authority across devices, lifecycle status, relevance, support context and relationships. Ivanti says the benefits are possible with AI-driven workflows that have the precise, reliable core needed to operate reliably across complex environments.

Ivanti previously made headlines in January when it announced a new AI development in its Neurons platform that helps IT and security teams use AI-driven intelligence to achieve impactful business results. New features include the introduction of agent AI capabilities in Ivanti Neurons for IT Service Management and independent endpoint management and next-generation asset visibility in Ivanti Neurons for Discovery.
